Job Summary

Advanced Protection Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales/Marketing Representative to drive the sales of emerging technology in low voltage systems. This position emphasizes introducing innovative technologies to industry professionals, including Architects, Engineers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s), and Contractors in the region.

Specializing in Low Voltage solutions for commercial settings, Advanced Protection Systems Inc. offers expertise in a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to:

  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Security Systems
  • Structured Cabling
  • Fiber Cabling
  • Flood and Freeze Protection
  • Mobile Camera Units
  • Surveillance Systems
  • Access Control
  • Other cutting-edge low voltage solutions

This role is instrumental in expanding the company’s customer base while fostering and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients across various sectors, including corporate, educational, commercial, municipal, and correctional industries.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Architects, Engineers, AHJs, and Contractors to build professional relationships and promote low voltage technologies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate lunch-and-learns, partnering with manufacturer representatives to introduce and demonstrate emerging technologies to target audiences.
  • Develop strategies to effectively introduce Advanced Protection Systems, ’s solutions to new and existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the corporate, education, commercial, municipal, and correctional sectors.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services to provide well-informed presentations and consultations.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and
  • Stay updated on market trends and advancements in low voltage technology to better serve client needs and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to tailor solutions that align with client requirements and project

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing, particularly within the low voltage or technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse professionals such as architects and engineers.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications in commercial settings is highly

Advanced Protection Systems, Inc. specializes in Low Voltage solutions for commercial settings. These include but are not limited to Fire Alarm, Security, Structured Cabling, Fiber Cabling, Flood and Freeze Protection, Mobile Camera units, Surveillance Systems, Access Control and more… This role is crucial in expanding the customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the corporate, education, commercial, municipal, correctional sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various methods, including cold calling, networking, online platforms, and on-site visits.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting long-term partnerships.
  • Needs Assessment & Solution Selling: Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand customer requirements and propose tailored low voltage cabling solutions.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals showcasing products and services.
  • Achieving Sales Targets: Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and performance
  • Account Management: Manage assigned accounts, ensuring successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM software.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, market competition, and advancements in low voltage technology.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and customer service representatives, to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Self-Motivation & Drive: Results-oriented and ability to work independently to achieve and exceed sales

  • Experience: Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within the low voltage, IT, or related technical
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control), A/V systems, Don’t worry if you don’t have this skill set. We will train you.
  • Licensing (Preferred): Valid driver’s license and clean driving Low Voltage license or other relevant certifications (e.g., NICET Level I) are a plus.
